February 2019 Workshops

Our Attendance Team will be hosting a workshop to share the importance of being in school and being on time.  Join us on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 8:15 a.m. to meet our team!   We look forward to seeing you there.

Ms. Sara Pellegrini from Community Healthcare Network will be joining us for three weight loss classes which will be held in December, January, and February.  These classes will be immediately followed by Mrs. Spar's ZUMBA class because we know just how important it is to have physical activity in your daily routines.  We invite you to join us and bring a friend.  Together we will learn how to prepare healthy festive snacks, hummus, and we will all enjoy a smoothie and you get to keep your cup!  See links below for details. 


Ms. Nadine Ahmed, our Mental Health Consultant will be here to facilitate a workshop to help you help your children deal with test anxiety.  To help support your anxiety, all in attendance will receive a FREE adult coloring book and colored pencils.  Please visit the below link to learn of more details.  



In support of our Respect For All Week, Mrs. Mullins and Ms. Romano will be facilitating a Positive Behavior Interventions Support, PBIS, workshop for our families.

Each year we offer our parents an opportunity to learn things which can be beneficial to them in many ways.  We know our families celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and so much more and buying cakes for these events can be costly.  Mrs. Ramnath is an amazing baker and has offered us the chance for us to learn how to decorate cup cakes and cakes.  Join us on Monday, February 11, 2019 beginning at 9:30 a.m. to learn and have fun.  Visit the link below for all details.

Celebrate the 100th Day of School with Mrs. Spar and Class K-315!  Join us for a ton of fun as we count to 100 in so many different ways!  Together we will enjoy various activities you can do with your children at home.  We will also make, grade appropriate, 100 sight word flash cards!

Advocates for Children will be here to facilitate a workshop on Bullying:  How to Identify it and How to Address it When You Do on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 beginning at 9:00 a.m. which will immediately follow the Achoo!
