2017 Healthy Snacks Fighting Childhood Obesity

Ms. Lupita from Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield Health Plus joined us along with Nurse Ryan to help keep our children healthy.  They both shared that it is important to have one hour of physical therapy a day and our children should be limited to one hour of screen time a day. This includes computer usage, TV and video games. 

Each parent in attendance enjoyed trail mix, strawberry and apricot cheesecake, spiders, ladybugs, ants on logs, magic wands, teddy bears, carrots and hummus and apples and oranges! 

They each received recipes for the above and a free copy of Choose Good Food which were received through a Wellness Grant with First Book!  A good morning was shared by all.
